How can I pay my taxes?
Tax payments can be made online at CapeMayCity.com, by mail to 643 Washington Street, Cape May NJ 08204, or by placing in the drop box located in the City Hall parking lot near the back corner of the Fire Department closest to the Washington Street entrance.
Due to COVID-19, the State of New Jersey extended its fiscal year from June 30, 2020 to September 30, 2020, prompting the issuance of Estimated 3rd quarter bills due August 1, 2020. Since the first falls on Saturday, payments may be received until the close of business on August 3, 2020 without interest. A Final 2020/Preliminary 2021 will be mailed in late August or September.

When is the tax appeal deadline?
The Tax Appeal deadline has been extended to 30 days following a determination by the Governor that the State of Emergency declared under Executive Order 103 has ended. The Cape May County Tax Board will accept tax appeals via regular mail or hand delivery at 7 North Main Street Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Hand delivery arrangements may be made by calling 609-465-1030.
Municipal copies will be accepted in a similar fashion but additionally may be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Forms and comparable sales may be found at www.capemaytax.com.
Change of address, 200 feet and 500 feet list requests may be emailed, with the appropriate fees sent regular mail or placed in the City Hall Drop Box. Please include Property Address, Block and Lot with payment so that payment may be properly credited.
